Tasks

Tasks help your team track action items, follow-ups, and scheduled work linked to CRM contacts, accounts, and leads. Each task has a priority, due date, assigned owner, and status that progresses from open through completion.

Task Grid

The task grid shows all tasks for the current tenant with paging support.

Filtering

The filter bar provides quick access to common criteria:

Grid Columns

ColumnDescription
TitleShort description of the task
StatusCurrent status displayed as a color-coded badge. Open tasks past their due date show an OVERDUE badge in red
PriorityHigh (red), medium (amber), or low (gray)
Assigned ToThe user responsible for completing the task
Due DateWhen the task should be completed. Overdue dates appear in red
ContactLinked contact name
AccountLinked account name
LeadLinked lead name
CreatedWhen the task was created

Status Badges

  • open — Blue badge for active tasks
  • OVERDUE — Red badge for open tasks past their due date
  • completed — Green badge
  • cancelled — Gray badge with strikethrough text

Creating and Editing Tasks

Click Add to create a new task or the edit icon on any row to modify an existing task.

Task Form Fields

When a task status is changed to completed, the completion timestamp is recorded automatically.

Tasks in the Activity Timeline

Tasks appear in the Activity Timeline for contacts, accounts, and leads. When viewing a timeline, tasks are included alongside activities and interactions, showing:

  • The task title and due date
  • Current status in brackets (e.g., “[open]”, “[completed]”)
  • The assigned user

This provides a complete picture of all work related to a given entity.

Overdue Detection

Tasks are automatically flagged as overdue when:

  • The task status is open
  • The due date has passed

Overdue tasks stand out in the grid with a red OVERDUE badge in the status column and red-colored due date text.
