We're having problems installing the ISO on our server because of hardware problems with the dvd drive. Usually this can be solved by adding at the boot: prompt something like:
linux all-generic-ide mem=2048m
However this doesnt work because the TL iso is highly customized.
So, is it possible to add these options somewhere ? Or is it possible to put the iso on an usb stick and install it from there ? What is the way to go then ?

ive installed from a usb dvd drive before, by merely adding the removable drive media to the first option in my boot search order of the bios. Looked like a regular cd-rom to the python installation software.
