How about a customer notes page

Posted by IVSCOMM on Sun, 07/20/2008

How about a customer notes page that we can edit to keep track of special setups or programming quirks for each of our customers. I figure since asterisk is all text based what's the big deal for a section that lets us write a little note about that customer. Like why we programmed their auto attendant that way or what their DID's are stuff like that.

you should have a look at vtiger CRM. I think you'll want to keep everything there. its extremely useful for not just notes but documents (like the singed LOA to port their numbers, 911 documents they signed off on etc). Plus it has a trouble ticket system so you can track a customer's issues etc.

I'd like to see the Tenant and extension home page with an editable area, for New, added feature, big fix's etc etc all things that customer would be able to see

also removal of the TL administration documents as 1 they are for installers not administrators and should be there and very hard to follow and really get the answers a tenant admin would be looking for. turn the display off leave the home page blank..

I agree with you IVSCOMM. That would make it more organized and easier to managed especially when everything is flooded with other information.

I disagree... your PBX needs to focus on being a PBX not a CRM. You really think its a good idea to gimp MTE down to just 500 tenants when it could be designed to scale to 10,000 handsets and 1,000 concurrent calls just to not have to run a 2nd box with some CRM on it?
