Posted by dbenders on Mon, 03/03/2008

Will be great to have better statistics. I suggest to take a look at:

http://areski.net/asterisk-stat-v2/about.php

This open source do a very well work. Will be nice to have this reports implemented in Thirdlane PBX.

alex, why you dont do addons to Thirdlane PBX and ask an aditional price for it? All the graphs and stats can be offered as an option. With the aditional income that will be generated you can hire a developer to do that in advance.

One of the issues that I faced in Thirdlane PBX development was the dependence on libraries. In other words - should we rely on using additional packages and Perl modules that are not likely to be found on a typical system without providing a way to install them? Of course with our ISO distribution we can install anything, but that will further diverge it from Thirdlane PBX - and (possibly wrongly) I always felt against that and tried to stay frugal, in a way Jamie did with Webmin.

I feel the pressure to include more (including graphs, database access, LDAP, and even a CRM). I do need your feedback to decide.
