VM email "reply to" address

Posted by biznet on Thu, 08/27/2020

Trying to figure out where in the standard MTE install, 9.1.14, you can change the default from "asterisk@ " and/or "replyto" address, if both are configured somewhere. We don't want to open up incoming SMTP on the box and wish to send them to our smtp machine?

THanks.

Hello!

You can adjust the sender address in the /etc/asterisk/voicemail.conf configuration file. The setting you will be looking for is called "serveremail".

Sorry, but I don't think I understood your last question. Would you like to use your existing mail sarver as a relay? You don't need to allow incoming connections. You are not planning to receime emails on the system, right?
