Notification Settings
Thirdlane Connect uses notifications to inform you about incoming messages or calls.
Notification Types
The following notifications can be enabled or disabled:
Sound notifications. These are short sound signals played when incoming messages are received.
In-app pop-up notifications. These use a small pop-up with a title and a description that is shown on incoming messages when the application window is in focus. Pop-up notifications are also used to notify about success or failure of various operations.
Desktop notifications. These are native platform notifications with title and description that are shown on incoming messages when the application window is not visible.
Vibration notifications. These notifications produce mobile device vibration on incoming messages.
Push notifications. These notifications use native iOS or Android notification mechanism, with notification messages, shown on lock screen or in notification section when you receive messages when the application is closed or not connected to the server.
Notifications Settings
This screen allows you to configure your notifications to be the most useful for your work pattern.
Play sound notifications. Controls whether the Sound notifications are enabled.
Enable push notifications. Mobile only. Controls whether the push notifications are enabled.
Show in-app pop-up notifications. Controls whether the in-app pop-up notifications will be shown when messages are received.
Show desktop notifications. Desktop only. Controls whether pop-up desktop notifications will be shown when messages are received.
Enable vibrations notifications. Mobile only. Controls whether pop-up desktop notifications will be shown when message are received.
Disable all application notifications. Disables all notifications.
Per-conversation notification levels
In addition to the app-wide settings above, you can set how noisy each individual channel or chat is (16.1.3+). Open the conversation’s action menu (right-click, the ”…” menu, or a swipe on mobile) and choose one of:
- All messages - Get notified for every message in the conversation (the default).
- Mentions only - Stay quiet except when you are mentioned.
- Nothing - No notifications for the conversation at all.
This replaces the older per-conversation Mute switch. A small icon on the conversation row shows the current level at a glance:
- All messages - no icon.
- Mentions only - an @ icon.
- Nothing - a crossed-bell icon.
