Locations
Locations define the physical or logical sites where your servers are deployed. In a multi-location cluster deployment, each server is assigned to a location to enable proper call routing and media handling between sites.
Create/Edit Location
Name. A descriptive name for the location (e.g., “New York Office”, “Data Center West”).
Description. Optional description providing additional details about the location.
Purpose
Locations are used in conjunction with Worker Servers and RTP Servers to define the network topology of your deployment. Proper location configuration ensures that:
- Media (RTP) traffic is routed through the nearest available media server
- Call routing decisions account for geographic proximity
- Failover behavior is location-aware
