When you retrieve a parked call you don't get the Caller ID information.

Posted by IVSCOMM on Tue, 09/24/2013

Say a caller comes in with the phone number of 777-555-1234.
My operator parks the call at 701 and lets me know the call is there.
I retrieve the call at 701 but the caller ID on my screen shows 701 not 777-555-1234.

Is there a way to keep the caller id through the park process?

are you running 1.8 and have sip updates enabled? if so thats about all you can do. It has to work with all endpoints. for it to send the UPDATE sip message.

How do I check if sip updates are enabled? I am running Asterisk 1.8.17.0 but I don't know what to check for SIP updates.

Try adding

sendrpid=pai

To the general section of your sip.conf
