I came across this the other day in Thirdlanes FAQ.
Q: Can Thirdlane PBX be installed on trixbox?
A: Yes, if you have an existing trixbox CE installation you can do that.
Has anyone ever used Thirdlanes interface with Trixbox before? Can the two live side by side? The last time I installed TL's software on an existing Trixbox for a customer was by formatting it first :)

i wouldn't do it, It would be the equivalent to when people install it over top of a vanilla asterisk system and then get mad when all their configs go poof. No they cannot live side-by-side. those same files would be overwritten by thirdlane files, no retreat. definitely make backups before you play :)
