Provisioning defaults

Posted by fuse3 on Wed, 11/05/2008

We manually changes a bunch of settings in our:

/unauthenticated/provisioning/snom3xx.cfg

and had all our phones up and running great.

I added a new phone under provisioning and it reset the file to a default snom3xx.cfg

Is this normal? Should i be adding the provisioning variables someone else?

I think i may have found it, seems the way to modify is through the configuration editor.

seems the snom3xx.cfg is "re-built" with the addition of each phone

i added a variable in the configuration editor and added a dummy phone

working!

The place to make changes in in /etc/asterisk/provisioning/ which is where PBX Manager gets the files from that it uses for templates. Note that if you make changes there, they'll get overwritten when you upgrade PBX Manager. If you make an /etc/asterisk/user_provisioning/ directory, duplicate any file from the first folder into this one, and then edit it, your changes will be preserved.
