I have been trying to provision an Aastra 6755i from 8x8. I have already upgrading the firmware and removed the 8x8 firmware so I also have the latest version of firmware installed.
For some reason, I am having trouble getting it to provision. I had a lower model Aastra phone and I noticed that it would not work on Multi-tenant, only single tenant because the phone did not have the capability of storing an alphabetical character for the Authentication Name. I'm also thinking it can use only IP addresses and no domain names.
I have tried using the Auto Provision script and I have tried setting it up manually. The way these Aastra phones are setup is idiotic. So many fields for proxy, backup proxy, etc and it seems that if you don't fill them ALL in, then it wont work. also, with no support for alpha characters, its inferior.
Anyhow, I know some of you guys are using Aastra phones but has anyone had luck setting it up in a Multi-tenant environment??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
