Problem with recording IVR messages

Posted by Had on Wed, 10/29/2008

I'm trying to record the messages for IVR with one of my phones but when I press 'Start Recording' I get this error message:

Could not find an extension for recording.
The extension is expected to be associated with the script tl-web-record.

How can I associate the extension with that script???

you select the channel/phone from the pulldown menu just above the 'start recording' button. It will call that phone and prompt you to begin recording. BTW when it says 'press any key' its technically the # key that you need to press.

Hi Erik,

I do use the pulldown menu to select the extension. I tried all the extensions I have but I always get the same error message:

Could not find an extension for recording.

The extension is expected to be associated with the script tl-web-record.

any Ideas?

Hi:

Any luck with this problem? I can't get this to work. Same problem as above. I tried several tenants. Can't get recording to work. Running the latest PBX Manager 6.0.1.70. MT.

Thanks,

Larry

It appears that some includes are not set by default when creating new tenants. To fix this, edit extensions.include and insert the following in the heading [feature-extensions-]

exten => *51,1,Macro(tl-web-record)

You must restart Asterisk for the configuration to take effect. This was tested using:

PBX Manager 6.0.1.69

Asterisk 1.6.0.1

Sorry for the double post. HTML tags stripped where I indicated [feature-extensions-] I intended [feature-extensions-your_tenant_id]

I have a similar problem. Clients can select their extension for recording an IVR message but the phone never rings. I don't see any error messages. The web page just goes back the file listing page and continually refreshes every 10 seconds. I verified the tl-web-record macro is set up for each client. I'm running MTE PBX Manager 6.0.1.71. Any thoughts on how to fix it or other places to look for error messages?
