This is my first MTE but I took a phone from a STE installation and tried to register it to my new MTE.
The phone fails registration to the new server. The only thing I did to get it to see the new server is changed the IP in Proxy to the MTE IP and changed the user ID to include the new MTE tenant ID - IE: 111-misc. When i look at the phone status (SPA-962) it shows failed-404.
I turned off the Fail2ban service but still doesn't register. Is there something i am forgeting?

I had something similare, here is a checklist - may help. Since 404 usually indicates "not found" it seems your phone is not finding the server. so:
- if you updated the IP on the DNS records, the just wait, it will happen.
- if you entered the IP on the phone make sure the firewall is also open on this new IP.
- hmmm... thats it im out.
