i wondering using polycom SoundPointIP-SPIP_330-UA/3.1.1.0137 firmware, using TL MTE if there is possible to change the massage waiting indicator to a different voice mail box other then the local extension
Ie. to have extension 101 go voice mail 101 which have email notification and delete after delivery set, but on the phone (ext 101) should voice mail indicate only if a special mail box have a massage as well (retrieval shouldn't be an issue using *85xxx)

its possible to have a sip user who looks at any mailbox you tell it to look at. This is not an 'extension' but instead is setup as a 'special line'. Be aware special lines are just sip settings and for them to be called they must have feature codes mapped to them and/or have another extension's script changed to multidevice and ring 2 phones.

the spacial line and the spacial mail box will be pointed to the phone and extension 101 will go on multidevice extension mode to ring the spacial line ring on so it will ring on extension calling as well as feature calling and the MWI will be the special line

if you want to use special line + special mailbox and have it monitor a different mailbox you still have to create a feature code that will call your phone. Otherwise you will have an outgoing only phone.
