Lost callerid info when using pickupgroup

Posted by cbbs70a on Thu, 08/13/2009

I am using version STE v70 pretty much without issue except that I am losing callerid information when using call pickup. A call comes in to a certain extenension and the callerid displays fine. Another extension will hit *8 (defined in features.conf) to pickup the call themselves. When the call is transfered to the second extension, no callerid displays. I went into the CLI to watch the trace, but I was surprised to see that when the user hit *8, nothing whatsoever displayed in the CLI. HAs anyone else seen this?
Thanks

*8 is a inside-channel call transfer. However, no invite is ever sent to the new handset (where the from header would exist), your outbound call of *8 is bridged with the other channel. You've verified the cdr itself still has CID though right?

Good point. Yes, callerid is preserved in the CDR. I see that there is a small macro called tl-directed-call-pickup that I have not used, but the customer likes the idea of only hitting *8 instead of having to dial *8XXX and remembering each persons extension number.

I've confirmed that my own PBX does not see the callerid on the transferred-to extension. Can someone confirm if it works for them?

Thanks

it doesnt. Since there's no invite there's nothing to displan on the phone. Call stealing using isymphony is pretty sweet and you can see callerid (as long as you have permission to see callerid).
