How do I access the /tftpboot directory?

Posted by jeffogden on Sat, 02/23/2008

I need to access the an Aastra MAC file in order to change some settings to the speed dials. I also want to change the default Aastra.conf and MAC.conf files that are generated when you use auto Provisioning. How do I change these files?

Hi Jeff,

Provisioning files are in the provisioning directory under the /etc/asterisk or wherever Asterisk configuration directory is in your installation. The models.txt file has an entries for Aastra phones which reference the templates that get processed to create provisioning files. The templates can be changed as necessary but the current limitation is that your changes would be lost after reinstallation/upgrade of Thirdlane PBX ( so you would have to save the templates and reinstall them after the upgrade).

In the (near) future we are going to allow the "user" templates to override shipped templates (just the way it is done for scripts) - so that you could have permanent custom templates that override what we ship.

Please contact me for more details.
