Cant provision BLFs

Posted by michalsz2 on Fri, 10/26/2012

Hello,
One of our clients has Polycom 601 with expansion module.

I have template for it on my TL.

This is what I’m trying to do:

Buttons 1,2 and 3 ext 104
Buttons 4,5 and6 ext 110
Buttons 7-15 on ext I want bunch of BLFs to other extensions.

This is what I did in provisioning section:

Buton registration sequence 1 Type line Span 3 Registration 104
Buton registration sequence 2 Type line Span 3 Registration 110
Buton registration sequence 7 Type BLF Span 1 Extension 100
Etc…with BLFs

No matter how I set BLFs they are not showing on the phone/expansion.
I’ve checked Home/PlcmSpIp and there are for config files for that MAC
Mac.cfg
Mac-Local-Settings.cfg
Mac-registration.cfg
Mac-directory.cfg (BLFs that I set in provisioning are there)

Any ideas why BLFs are not getting to the phone?

I know I can do directory manually on the phone (I had that before) but then if somebody is set as DND , status will not reflect it.

MIke

because a 601 is incapable of running the firmware required to populate the expansion module from provisioning files.. thats a 12 yr old phone locked into firmware 3.1.7ish. The feature that lets you populate a side-car from the provisioning template requires 3.2.x versions of firmware.

you are stuck with having to do it from the phone by adding each contact to the phone and selecting 'watch buddy' in its options.. a rather tedious process with fewer features like alerting of a ringing state and the ability to retrieve a ringing extension.
