canreinvite with bulk generator

Posted by remiq on Mon, 08/09/2010

I have the canreinvite option turned on under default values, but when I use the bulk generator it does not turn it on for all the users I just added.

you do realize that canreinvite will cause 1-way audio if one of the ends is on an RFC1918 address.. so unless every phone you have is on a public IP its going to cause a problem.

Yes I am aware about having public IP addresses.

I don't see any sip default settings under tenant management. Is this the tenant defaults you are talking about?

Any news on this bug?

Steps to Reproduce:

1) Log in as an administrator and choose a test tenant from the drop down at the top.
2) Click on 'PBX Settings' and then 'Default Values'
3) Check Can Reinvite under 'Phone Template'
4) Click on 'Extensions & Directory' and then 'Bulk Generator'
5) Upload a CSV file. (*see below for the csv i used)
6) Check for the existence of a parameter 'canreinvite=yes' in the newly created entries in sip.conf. When I get to this step the parameter is not there.

When I create an extension the one at a time way: 'Extensions & Directory' and then 'User Extensions', followed by 'Create SIP Extension', the parameter is populated correctly in sip.conf

*csv file used in test
Extension,LastName,FirstName,Email,PhoneNumber,MAC

Bug tracker is long overdue. We will make it available once we decide on the access rules - and once I get some sleep :)

yes, agreed. Some care to prevent its content from becoming crawled by search engines would be required as well as login's for access including read access should be required. I would say limit the exposure to licensed TL customers only. I am sure that those that sell a lot of TL (like myself, FSD and others) wouldn't want the contents used against their bids by resellers of MyTel or Shoretel products.

Which version of PBX Manager?

Please always specify that when reporting bugs.

best I can tell, please fix the same thing for call-limit. All extensions I upload with bulk generator (which I try to make most) can't use BLF on their polycoms because this isn't set. Thanks!

hmmm, then I can't make rhyme or reason as to why some have this setting and some don't... we are still running 6.1.1.6, I'll keep investigating.

it was my default template set to none. i uploaded via bulk uploader, all is well, then i manually made a change on each and it took away the call-limit
