Auto Pickup Inbound Calls

Posted by onplatinumict on Fri, 05/29/2015

Good Afterboob, (Australian Time)

We have a client 100+ handset that previously had the ability when dialing an extension that it automatically picked up the call if the phone wasn't in use.

I am trying to implement the same on there new system. Thirdlane MTE with CISCO SPA515g handsets. I've had a look at a few options but non seem like they would work.

- Feature code + extension: works but if on call puts call on hold an picks up
- Turn off Auto-Answer Page with feature code + extension: works but if on call puts call on hold an picks up

I have had a look at the coding for which ignores users that are on the phone and I was thinking I could adapt if for use within the extension.conf file but am unsure which lines of code are used for checking if call is current. Not sure if this is even possible.

Any assistance or point me in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I just noticed i miss-spelt afternoon but I don't know how to edit it.

My end goal would be that the users can dial the standard extension, 202 for example and it auto answers if user isn't on phone.

Thanks
