What's new in Thirdlane 16.2.1

September 16, 2026 · Thirdlane

Thirdlane 16.2.1 is available as a Configuration Manager update. It is the current release of the platform and Thirdlane Connect.

The 16.1.1 walkthrough covers the first 16.x themes. This is the 16.2.1 announcement — what changed, not the full notes. Those are in Configuration Manager and on What’s New.

REST API and automation

More of the platform can be driven from your own tools and dashboards: call and message history, live presence and queues, media and text-to-speech, Connect channels and messages, and AI-agent users. API keys can be limited to a single tenant. The Endpoint Index lists what is available.

Organization Analytics

Call Reports is now Organization Analytics. Caller and contact-center reports live here, including Caller Insights, SLA and occupancy, and staff activity separate from customer traffic. Multi-tenant administrators get a fleet-wide Platform Analytics view. Grafana is for system metrics only.

Users, Access, and Security

New reports show who signed in, failed attempts, where phones registered, and security findings such as spraying or sign-ins from an unexpected country. The same release tightens PINs, password display, and tenant cloning.

Connect

Users can keep a greetings library — upload, record, or generate from text, then pick the active greeting. Administrators can deploy one greeting to many extensions. Message search is easier to step through, and call history updates within seconds after a call.

Branding

Connect and the Configuration Manager can wear your brand — globally or per organization. Set primary and secondary colors, a logo, and a favicon. Connect also sets the application name on the login screen. If there is no logo, the Manager toolbar shows the organization name as a wordmark.

Also in this release

  • Email Templates and delivery through your own provider (Gmail, Microsoft 365, SendGrid, Mailgun)
  • Messaging opt-out and more gateway providers
  • Warm standby for all-in-one deployments
  • Expanded Spanish translation and more worked examples in the product docs
