Deployment Model
Multi-Tenant Platform for MSPs, ITSPs, and UCaaS providers
Run the Thirdlane platform in multi-tenant mode — one deployment, many customer organizations, hard per-tenant isolation, white-label branding for every tenant. The platform combines a carrier-grade multi-tenant PBX with Thirdlane Connect (web, desktop, mobile), Omnichannel Contact Center, CRM, AI, and a full REST API surface, all administered from one Configuration Manager. Self-hosted on your infrastructure or hosted by Thirdlane. Per-seat or per-concurrent-call licensing.

Built for the way service providers actually operate
Multi-tenancy is the foundation of the Thirdlane platform, not a feature layered on top of a single-tenant PBX afterward. The data model, the Configuration Manager, the APIs, and the Connect apps were all designed with many tenants in mind from day one.
Per-tenant isolation
Hard tenant boundaries on data, configuration, dialplan, billing, and reporting. No cross-tenant leakage by design.
White-label branding
Per-tenant theming of Configuration Manager, the User Portal, and the Connect web, desktop, and mobile apps. End customers see your brand, not ours.
Per-tenant billing data
Granular CDR and usage data exposed via APIs and exports — wire it into your billing system of record.
Tenant lifecycle automation
Provision, suspend, migrate, and delete tenants programmatically through the System Management API.
Flexible licensing
Per-seat or per-concurrent-call. Annual subscription or multi-year. Predictable margins. Pricing scales with capacity, not customer count.
Your infrastructure
On-prem hardware, your private cloud, or any public hyperscaler. Your data, your operations, your sovereignty.
Three ways to run it
Self-hosted
Your cloud, bare metal, or VM. You keep direct control of infrastructure, data residency, and operations.
Thirdlane-managed
Under your brand. Infrastructure, patching, monitoring, and HA are ours — tenants, support, and billing stay yours.
Hybrid
We operate the platform on infrastructure you specify (your VPC, your colo). Available on contract for specific compliance needs.
Multi-Tenant PBX — the telephony foundation
At the heart of every platform deployment sits a multi-tenant PBX engineered for service-provider scale — production Asterisk and Kamailio with a Thirdlane-engineered multi-tenant management layer above them. It is a true multi-tenant PBX from the ground up: every dial plan, extension, queue, IVR, and recording is scoped to one tenant. Thousands of tenants run on one PBX install, with IVR menus, queues, conferencing, voicemail, recording, STIR/SHAKEN, and an integrated SBC included. See the Voice / PBX overview for the full feature catalog.
Configuration Manager — one admin surface
Configuration Manager is the web admin UI for the whole platform — not a PBX-only console. Tenants, users, dial plan, queues, CRM, messaging channels, contact-center setup, API keys, white-label branding all live there. Per-tenant administrators see only their tenant; the system administrator pivots between tenants from one login.
Why MSPs and resellers choose Thirdlane for multi-tenant deployments
Cutting-edge technology, low ownership costs, and engineering-grade support.
Ease of deployment and maintenance
Installs cleanly on any cloud, VM, or bare metal — operational in days, not weeks. Updates via repositories. Migration tooling for FreePBX, 3CX, BroadWorks, CommandLink, and other legacy platforms.
Reliability and high availability
HA, redundancy, and geo-redundancy are first-class platform capabilities, not third-party add-ons. Two decades of production telephony engineering; mission-critical deployments routinely hit five nines.
Competitive, transparent pricing
Per-seat or per-concurrent-call wholesale pricing with a published margin structure for channel partners. Contact center, CRM, AI, and WhatsApp unlock independently — pay for what you expose.
Real engineering support
Support cases go to engineers who maintain the platform, not a tier-1 script reader. Migration help, architecture review, and deployment guidance are part of partner enablement.
