Careers
Build the platform.
Thirdlane is a small, distributed team that has shipped a multi-tenant communications platform for over two decades. We don’t hire often — when we do, we’re looking for people who want to build serious infrastructure for the long term.
Areas we hire in
Communications platform engineering
C, Perl, JavaScript, and modern web stacks. Real-time SIP, WebRTC, and contact-center workflows. People who like building dependable infrastructure that other companies build their products on top of.
Channel & customer success
Working directly with our partner network — MSPs, UCaaS providers, integrators — to deploy, troubleshoot, and grow Thirdlane installations across continents.
Product, design, and documentation
Designing and writing for a technical audience that operates the platform daily. Documentation, release notes, and product UX that respect the reader’s time.
How we work
Distributed team
Thirdlane has been a distributed company for two decades. Most of our engineers, support, and product teams work remotely from where they live.
Long-term work
We build a single platform with a long upgrade horizon. Most of our customers and most of our team have been with us for many years. We’re looking for the same.
Real product
No SDK-thin layer over someone else’s API. The platform is ours, the code is ours, the architectural decisions are ours. If that matters to you, it probably matters in the same way it matters to us.
Open roles
We don’t maintain a continuously-updated jobs board because we don’t hire on a continuous basis. If you’re interested in working on Thirdlane, send us a note describing what you’d like to work on, what you’ve built, and how to reach you. We read every message.
We’re especially interested in hearing from people with deep experience in:
- SIP, RTP, WebRTC, and real-time media at scale
- Multi-tenant SaaS architecture, especially with strict per-tenant isolation requirements
- Contact-center operations and the workflows around them
- Channel sales and partner enablement in B2B telecom or unified communications
- Technical writing for platform-operator audiences
Not the right time?
If your interests align but our timing doesn’t, we’ll keep your message on file — we’ve hired several people years after the first conversation. Drop us a note when you’re open to a move.
