Zapier & Webhooks
Connect to anything.
Thirdlane integrates with over 7,000 applications through Zapier — no code, no engineering sprint. For tighter control or higher volume, the platform’s native outbound and system webhooks deliver events directly to your endpoints with retry, replay, and a delivery log.
Triggers
Events from Thirdlane that can start a Zap or fire a webhook.
Inbound call started
Trigger workflows when a call lands on a tenant — log the call, look up the caller in another system, or notify a Slack channel.
Outbound call placed
Capture outbound calls placed by Connect users or via the API — useful for activity tracking, attribution, and compliance.
Call completed
Fires after a call ends with disposition, duration, and recording link. Pair with the AI summary for end-to-end automation.
Voicemail received
New voicemail on any monitored extension or queue. Includes transcript and audio link if voicemail transcription is enabled.
SMS / WhatsApp received
Inbound message events for tenants with SMS or WhatsApp messaging channels enabled.
CRM record changes
Built-in CRM events — contact created, lead status changed, deal won — fire as Zapier triggers via the outbound webhook surface.
Actions
Things you can ask Thirdlane to do from any other app.
Place a call
Originate a call from any Zap. Trigger callbacks, dial reminders, or escalations from any of 7,000+ supported apps.
Send SMS / WhatsApp
Push messages out via Thirdlane’s messaging channels. Useful for transactional notifications without standing up a separate SMS/WhatsApp account.
Create a CRM contact / lead
Lift inbound leads from a form, ad platform, or marketplace into Thirdlane’s built-in CRM with one Zap.
Update CRM records
Maintain contact, account, lead, or deal records from external sources — keep Thirdlane in sync with whatever your team treats as system-of-record.
Native webhooks (skip Zapier)
For tighter integrations, higher event volume, or when Zapier’s pricing doesn’t make sense at scale, Thirdlane delivers events directly to your endpoints.
Outbound Event Webhooks
Real-time HTTP notifications for CRM, configuration, and communications events. Grouped event selectors, test delivery, and a delivery log per subscription.
System Webhooks
Cross-tenant provisioning automation — extension, DID, trunk, and tenant lifecycle events delivered from every tenant to a single subscription endpoint.
Rich payloads
Extension webhook payloads include phone_username (SIP peer name), location, and primary_server so receivers can route SIP traffic to the correct cluster without follow-up API calls.
Test & retry
Test deliveries from the UI before going live. Failed deliveries surface in the delivery log with retry semantics so transient outages don’t lose events.
When to pick which
- Zapier — fastest path to "voice events into anything." Great for marketing automation, business apps, and workflows that don’t justify dedicated engineering.
- Outbound Event Webhooks — your own backend handles the events. Sub-second latency, no per-task quotas, full control over retry policy.
- System Webhooks — for service providers automating cross-tenant provisioning. One subscription receives lifecycle events from every tenant.
- All three together — supported. Different event categories often have different operational requirements.
