I have tried setting the password to the extension and forcename=yes, but it does not seem to be working. Is there another step to setting the system to force the user to record their name on an existing mailbox?

Delete the recorded name from the the mailbox folder. Goto /var/spool/asterisk/voicemail find the extension and delete the greet.wav.
