Was wondering if it's about time to upgrade my box. What's the best/stable version of asterisk right now?
Was thinking of jumping straight 1.8.
Does the upgrade erase any of the work done on the system the last 2 years?

I am thinking of upgrading our box with asterisk 1.4 to 1.8 but wonders if you have done it and if you found anything very important thing to be aware of? :-)
We have few costum written scripts and the rest is the most basic asterisk things so I think we are pretty safe to upgrade if just I chechk the new syntax for scripts :-)
