thirdlane not writing to astdb anymoe

I have thirdlane multitennet running on a 2 node cluster with about 150 users. All was finr untill 2 days ago when it stopped communicating with astdb properly. It works OK with some users and not at all with others. If I try to delete a call forward from the user portal, it just comes back with all of the settings still in the page. If I do a "database show" it shows the enteries, but if I do a database del it says the key does not exist.
Is there any way to rebuild the database. If not any ideas.
