Stop re-invite

Posted by douglas.ross on Wed, 08/01/2012

Hi

We have a client on our server running PBX manager 6.1.1.11 and asterisk 1.8.7.1

The client has a voice logger, which stops recording every 150s.
A pcap shows that the pbx sends an Invite to the extension.

We explained to the client that re-invites is normal and that the logger should be able to handle it.
He then replied that it was working before.

As this stopped working 2months ago, I have no idea of what might have changed on our server, if anything at all.

I have verified that canreinvite is set to no on the trunk, the extension and even on the tenant where you set the default for the tenant.

Is there a way to stop this invite from happening?

you need to get off that bugged-ass version of asterisk and move to 1.8.11-certified branch. there were too many bugs pre-1.8.9 to count. if it still happens then take a deeper look but you need to remove the likelihood of a buggy software version first.

Agreed. Erik upgraded us to 1.8.11cert5 and quite a few "issues" disappeared.

BTW just because canreinvite=no that doesn't mean reinvites are disabled. If a reinvite is needed it will still happen anyway.
