I went through and followed these directions

Now I get could not contact Boot Server
I did a new auto provision for a 450 and 550 phone and get the smae
The phone cannot upload a log file also.

I can sftp into the server but not ftp.
Does the thirdlane install a ftp server and how do i turn it on.
I know stupid basic questions aaahh linux.

make sure you turn off anonymous ftp, and that you enable chroot for everyone

If you are unable to contact Boot server there may be different problems like For managed phones (CIC 3.0), the most common cause is a DNS or DHCP issue.
