Hello,

When using this feature would it be possible to get a more descriptive error than 'File is not in the correct format'. I am uplifting what seems to be a perfectly fine CDV file and this error really is not very helpful. Perhaps if it could tell which field was causing the error or something? Otherwise it's impossible to fix..

Thanks,
Brian

not sure what a CDV file is but the file format you need to upload is a comma separated values file (*.csv). The first line needs to have the appropriate column heading names and the data inside needs to be correct, accurate, and without, for lack of a better word, fluff. That means DIDs cannot have bullshit hyphens and parenthesis... when it asks for a value (example MAC or email) you either put in a value or you leave it blank. I've seen 'remarks' like 'so and so doesn't want email' in the damn email column before. Stuff like that just needs to not be there.

There is an issue with newer versions of Excel. For what the hell ever reason, Excel has been adding like 20 commas to the end of the row implying non-existent fields. I have been using OpenOffice Calc to deal with this situation.

Hi Erik,

It's CSV, excuse my keyboard skills.

Yes, I've tried all that, the thing looks perfect! Can't figure it out at all. The error message doesn't help at all hence would be nice if it could spell out whatever error it is finding internally.. I can pop this off to you privately and you can look. It's a CSV, it has all correct fields and I've ran it through openoffice also.

Looks like a possible bug? Latest version of PBX Manager...

Thanks

no i just tested a bulk generator upload on my MTE box and it worked fine creating 3 new extensions. Is this for an MTE or STE installation? One note on MTE is that in order to populate the DID column the DID's must already be created in MTE and assigned to the tenant.

What computer are you saving it on. When I use a MAC I have to resave it as a windows or DOS csv file. apparently not all csv files are the same.

i always use OpenOffice for formatting reasons. It works regardless if I save it on my wind0ze laptop or on my Ubuntu PC at work.
