I just did a backup from my production MT on 6.0.1.59 and restored it to another machine I just built with the same MT version 6.0.1.59.
Both systems were built with latest ISO. Everything worked prior to restore of backup image on new system.
After the restore to the new system I was not able to go to the Asterisk CLI using asterisk -vvvvvvr.
Error says "Unable to connect to remote asterisk (does /var/run/asterisk.ctl exist?)"
Asterisk is up and I can register a phone but just can't get to the Asterisk CLI.
Any ideas what is missing? Both server have a different IP address and I suspect a file needs to be changed to reflect my new IP address somewhere.
Changed the path in Asterisk.conf to say var/run/asterisk and now everything is OK.
I first I didn't think this was going to work as I had no files in that directory.
Looks like asterisk puts the files there for me.
