Hello

We are planning on updating our servers to 1.6. If we do that will the extension status be sent to a BLF phone device if a call is sent to a cellphone or so?

Scenario:

Extension 1000 receives a call from PSTN and have set its extension to use followme to a cellhpone. The user picks up the call in the cellphone and are talking.

Question:

Will another user on the office see on phones BLF buttons that Extension 1000 are busy?

Hello Erik,

Well its not busy but since the call is set to Extension 1000 from the beginning or the DID for that extension, is it possible to use hint or something like that to light up the BLF button for that extension on other phones?

not really, even if your call went out a sip trunk thats a different sip device which, when monitored is going to show buy on every inbound/outbound call.

Thu, 09/09/2010 - 11:13 | broadsoft is just a sip

broadsoft is just a sip switch, the media stream is handled by another device. It probably uses assumptions in signaling to determine state. It doesnt really make sense to claim a phone is in use when the call might not even exist locally at all at this state.
