some inbound faxes failing

Posted by Glen.C on Thu, 03/12/2020

I understand faxing isnt a thirdlane thing, as in its not supported by thirdlane but i'm wondering someone in here can help anyway.

I've got and issue with some inbound faxes failing sometimes. from what i can see in the logs the failure occurs due to this below log entry

FAX[59658] res_fax.c: FLOW T.30 Status changing to 'Unexpected command after page received

For the life of me i can see what that relates to, google turns up nothing of use.

Does anyone know what this relates to?

I use it a lot. Every time there is a problem it's with a route on the upstream provider. Route it over a different SIP trunk, same result?

Unfortunately i don't really have and option to route it over a different trunk. its been working flawlessly for years.

The latency to my upstream is a consistent less than 1ms, we're in the same data center on a cross over so it cant be jitter causing it.

I just cant seem to find anything related to what that error may point to.
