Tue, 08/03/2010 - 13:44 | ThirdLane dialer registers but does not send the call to the extension when the call button is pressed.
This is the single tenant version.
I have registered to the server via LAN and both the computer and dialer are on the same network as the server. The dialer registers but when i send the call nothing happens. When I look at the console it says == Manager 'manager' logged on from 127.0.0.1
and then == Manager 'manager' logged off from 127.0.0.1
I don't see any other traffic after that and the phone never rings. I have done some packet captures and I see where its trying to access a CGI script called /asterisk/util.cgi. Not sure what it does after that. Is it possible this is a firewall issue? If so what do i need to open to make it work?
Any ideas? My customer is quite upset and doesn't understand why it doesn't work. Please help!

Dialer uses Manager API. Manager API permissions changed in Asterisk 1.6. In this case an originate permission must be added to the "write" set of permissions in manager.conf

noone said anything about files. re-read what he said carefully.. then RTFM on manager.conf
