We are experiencing an error when deploying our Polycom phones on-site for our MTE clients where the phones are unable to contact the boot server. We have tried several things to get them to pull the server such as set option 66 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. <---- Public IP of our PBX, set the server menu on the phones themselves to "TFTP" and server address to our PBX, tried different types of routers such as Cisco, Linksys, Mikrotik, and still have no luck. The settings in our PBX Manager (126.96.36.199) consist of the following:
Server Address: Public IP of our box
Use other method (TFTP, FTP, etc) to deliver files to devices: /tftpboot
Under /etc/asterisk/provisioning.txt the file shows:
Server: Public IP
The really odd thing is that when we are at our office we are able to set option 66 to our PBX's IP and are able to provision the phones with ease. Again, the PBX is NOT on our offices LAN so it doesn't make sense why it works at our office but not on-site. I have even gone as far as to copy the entire configuration of our Cisco router at our office to the Cisco routers we deploy on-site and still am having no luck. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Oh and our Asterisk version is 188.8.131.52
