Hunt lists

Posted by George on Tue, 01/22/2008

this seems to be more a bug report,

I setup a hunt group, (Corp Sale)

ring group 1
this group calls an extension, if not answered sends the caller to voice mail..

everything works fine, no problem

here is the problem..

hunt group as discribed above only this time with 2 ring groups.

ring group 1
the extension rings like it should.. the call is not answered (passed to ring group 2)

ring group 2
either calling an extension OR an out side number fails with the following error..

[Jan 22 19:59:31] NOTICE[25753]: chan_local.c:570 local_alloc: No such extension/context 301@from-inside-axintLocal creating local channel
[Jan 22 19:59:31] WARNING[25753]: app_dial.c:1111 dial_exec_full: Unable to create channel of type 'Local' (cause 0 - Unknown)
== Everyone is busy/congested at this time (1:0/0/1)
-- Executing [dial@macro-tl-ringgroup-base:3] Goto("Local/13035922947@from-outside-2feb,2", "dial-CHANUNAVAIL|1") in new stack
-- Goto (macro-tl-ringgroup-base,dial-CHANUNAVAIL,1)
-- Executing [dial-CHANUNAVAIL@macro-tl-ringgroup-base:1] Goto("Local/13035922947@from-outside-2feb,2", "failed|1") in new stack
-- Goto (macro-tl-ringgroup-base,failed,1)

-- Executing [s@Sales_Group-axint:4] Macro("Local/13035922947@from-outside-2feb,2", "tl-goto-voicemail|301@default-axint|u|") in new stack

I have tried this a 1/2 dozen different ways, but feel free to confirm this seems to be a bug..

The bad part is a customer found this not us.. and we need a time line one getting this corrected..

I hope someone is monitoring this channel

Thanks
G

Hi George,

Could you please specify how exactly the second ring group is defined?

Also, if possible could you send me your huntlists_source.include and huntlists.include?

im using feature code ring group to outside phones and extensions, and if a outside phone of the ring group is busy the caller hears a busy signal, is there a way to skip/avoid a busy phone? so the call could ring to the other external and or internal phones/ext ?

on the same note, with cell phone voicemails, if a ring group or forwarding schedule is set for to a cellphone, is there a way to confirm that a live person answered the phone and not the voicemail, it should keep ringing the ring group till it is confirmed with a key press or so that a human answered the phone or it should follow the the ring group pattern,

this is only an external issue since internal it works fine to follow the set pattern and skip busy and or vmail

try adding the option 'r' to your dial options to keep callers from hearing the busy tones. its tough to skip external devices when busy since there is no guarantee of proper call progression.

i did that (for ring) but as soon as it hit a busy external number it stops the hunt and it starts the busy signal (it considers the busy signal as if the phone was answered)

also is it possible the have the original caller's caller id when using feature code/ring group r but as soon as it hit a busy external number it stops the hunt and it starts the busy signal

also is it possible the have the original caller's caller id when using feature code/ring group
