I'm just testing the latest asterisk release 1.6.2.10 with MTE. The main reason for this is that it supports Polycoms G722.1 and G722.1C codecs and most of our customers have Polycom phones. But when creating extensions these codecs are not in drop down list.
How can I enable these codecs? Do I need to manually change the sip.conf file?

you can also just add allow=codecname in the other options section of the sip section of the extension.
