Fanvil Handsets

Posted by AdrianSimpson on Wed, 08/21/2019

Hi All,

Just a sweeping question really, does anyone use Fanvil handsets on Thirdlane with any success? We are attempting to put together a couple of templates for X4G & X6G handsets and would love to know if anyone had got it working on the system.

Cheers
Adrian

Where are you buying your handsets? We used to buy from Telephony Depot but they shut their doors.

The X210 looks like a great phone. Have you used any of them? The X7 looks a lot like the Yealink 46S.

HI Matt,

We have used the X210 and quite a few of the X7 & X7C - great value. Now we just need to get them working on Thirdlane and its a done deal! :)

Hi Jake,

Sorry only just seem this response, after some insight from Volodya, we now have a working template/config for auto provisioning a Fanvil X4G - its been a slog but very happy.

We are now working on X5, 6 & 7

Will share your defaults once sorted.

Cheers

HI Jake,

In a word, yes. We managed to get Fanvil X4G all setup and working - pulling variables from the system and got help from an external source for help with generating the company directory from the PBX in the way Fanvil likes it.

The only downside is we have put some static entries in there specific to each client - not a big deal but the way its like that is we are deploying custome wallpapers via provisioning & colour themes etc...

The BIGGEST setback at the moment is pulling BLFs/feature keys from the system, i have currently set them all out in the Config file, again not a deal breaker but with bigger companies this can be a massive hassle.

Im happy to produce a generic copy of what we have for you to have a play with if you like?

Kind regards
Adrian
