Update to 13.26 yesterday - FreePBX related question

Posted by curtc@accentse… on Tue, 05/21/2019

Hello,
I'm not attempting to make a comparison here, but something occurred to me. We manage about 100 FreePBX systems and we were advised by Sangoma to asterisk-version-switch to version 13.22 which is in their repository now to replace 13.26 which they removed due to "significant issues". Then I noticed after the Thirdlane MT yum update last night that the running Asterisk version is 13.26. I don't know if there could be issues here but we had many FreePBX issues on Asterisk 13.26 & 16. I imagine it's isolated to FreePBX but just wondered how Asterisk version issues can have an affect cross-platforms.
Thanks!

My understanding is that the problem is not in Asterisk 13.26.0 but in the Asterisk build by the FreePBX team and distributed with FreePBX which contained additional patches. The post on FreePBX forum about rollback to Asterisk 13.22 is not very clear about that. It also gives no explanation of why FreePBX team opted to roll all the way back to 13.22 losing latest improvements and bug fixes. If I were to make a guess, 13.22 would be the last version known to work with the FreePBX patch.
